Head of Tolcarne House is Mrs Vittle. Mrs Vittle has been a Head of House since 2005, when Treviglas first introduced the house system. Mrs Vittle lives within the community and her two children attend local primary schools. She enjoys spending time with her family and encourages her children to participate in local clubs including surf lifesaving, Beavers and Brownies.
The house supports the Air Ambulance Charity and successfully raises money for this worthwhile charity. In the 11 years that Tolcarne House has supported the charity over 10,000 pounds has been raised by the college to support the cause. The main funding source is the House Charity Day where all Tolcarne students are encouraged to raise money in a variety of ways. Last year’s activities included a popcorn shop and the cake challenge. It is wonderful to see that our money is helping others in our community.
Tolcarne students are identified by their blue and black ties. Tolcarne students continue to be successful leaders across the college. Our current student leaders have just been appointed and have already attended the first Student College Council of the year. Our House Captains for this year are Michael Bonner and Kirushpa Thomson, who can be easily identified by the plain blue ties that they wear.
