D of E is an incredible opportunity for young people – giving them the chance to learn skills, enhance their CV and, most importantly, have a great time!  From age 14 (up to age 24) participants can take part in D of E – and as we’re a licensed centre, the wider community are also welcome to come and take part.

Levels

You can do programmes at three levels, which when completed, leadIMG_3047 to a Bronze, Silver  or  Gold  Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

There are three levels of programme you can do which, when you’ve successfully completed them, lead to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.  The main differences between them are the minimum length of time it takes to complete them, how challenging it is and the minimum age you can start.

You achieve your Award by completing a programme of activities in four sections (five if you’re going for Gold) – Volunteering, Physical, Skills, Expedition and for Gold, a Residential. Useful information and advice about these sections can be found here.
