Key Stage 3
Geography
In Year 9 we cover a range of Geography topics closely linked to supporting progress into KS4 courses. Topics covered include tectonics, glaciation, tourism and development issues.
Philosophy and Ethics
In Year 9 students follow a curriculum which is a foundation for GCSE Philosophy and Ethics. The content is largely focused around the beliefs of Christians and one other world religion and enables students to explore moral and ethical dilemmas, whilst securing important GCSE skills such as application, analysis and evaluation.
History
We study modern world history at Year 9; looking at World War One (specifically the impact it had on society), the Second World War, (focusing on why some events stay in the national consciousness and why others don't), and the Holocaust through the Spring term Independent Study Project.
