Porth House
PORTH HOUSE continues to support the Cornish based charity "Shelterbox" which provides support for people who have suffered due to difficult circumstances within their country. The charity provides support by giving people the things they need to live all packaged in a box. These necessities include a tent and camping equipment as well as items to help rebuild their homes and lives such as tools and educational equipment for children.
Back in July Porth students elected new House Captains, Sport Captains, Prefects and Year Captains. The new student leaders of Porth House have already started their roles by participating in Student College Council meetings. This year the meetings will take place on Wednesdays between 3 and 4 p.m. to ensure that students can attend without missing lessons.
Last academic year Porth Tutors mentored Year 11 students and I am pleased to announce that Porth students were very successful in their KS4 examinations. I wish all students embarking on their next educational steps every success in their future pathways.
This academic year tutors will continue to mentor KS4 students enabling progress and help them to reach their true potential.
