At Treviglas Community College, we take the Digital Literacy and E-Safety of our community very seriously. Both are carefully embedded, mapped and delivered throughout the whole college curriculum. All staff are regularly trained and receive ongoing up-to-date CPD in Digital Literacy and E Safety. Many staff have certified training by outside agencies in this subject also.
Should you have any questions or concerns regarding E-Safety please contact Ms Johnson-Sterling
Reporting Abuse Online
The following website has been created by CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) to both inform and protect young people online: http://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/
Please also look out for the CEOP report abuse button on our Moodle and Website.
In addition, this year we have launched the SWGFL Whisper button on our Moodle and Website. SWGfL Whisper is a reporting service offered by South West Grid for Learning. The service, hosted by the Grid, consists of a website button / link that launches an online dialogue-box to capture information or details for anyone who needs to report issues to the school. That information is then sent to an email address nominated by the school.
We have a dedicated group of student leaders, representing all Year groups, who have been trained in E-Safety and mentoring. They have their own space on the Moodle where they will be adding resources and events to help keep their peers, parents and community safer online. They are available most lunchtimes should students need any help or advice.
Parent Info is a website full of up to date information created by CEOP and Parent Zone. Parent Info
