Student welfare is really important to us. We want our students to be happy, to feel cared for and to understand that if they do have a problem, there is someone in college they can turn to. Our ‘family’ of Houses helps to foster excellent relationships and supporting our Heads of House is Mrs Pascoe in Student Services. She helps us to deal with all manner of issues; whether that be a personal one, a problem to do with friendships at college or an issue to do with learning. Mrs Pascoe is a non-teaching member of the team and is someone who can gather information about an incident or a student concern before passing it on to the relevant member of staff so that it can be followed up promptly and effectively.
Indeed, for some students, they may just need an adult who can phone home and let parents or carers know that they have forgotten their PE kit or their Food Technology ingredients and Mrs Pascoe is also there to do just that!
Student Services is always on hand to offer a listening ear and find the best possible way to support students – whatever help they might need.
The Student Services office is located opposite E8 on the main, link corridor. Parents can contact Student Services too. You can send an email to Mrs Pascoe via the website at ‘contact’ on the toolbar and then by selecting ‘support staff’ and ‘student services’.
On phoning through to college on the main switchboard on 01637 872076 please ask the Receptionist to put you through to Student Services – this will enable parents and carers to speak to Mrs Pascoe or leave a voice message.
