Students excited by Parkour performance and workshop

Treviglas was delighted to host performance parkour company, Prodigal on Friday 28th. The company performed their show ‘Zoo Humans’ to over 120 Year 7 students, encouraging discussion about inactivity and the shocking statistic that 1 in 3 young people spend less time outdoors than people in prison! The show was an impressive mix of individual and chorus movement on a simple scaffolding set. After the show, the company worked with a group of boys, introducing them to some of the principles of Parkour, enabling them to explore different movements together. Leon commented afterwards, “That was really good fun!”

Sam Colborne, head of creative arts, said, “The boys immediately bought into the workshop, and were all pushing themselves to the next level, and egging each other on. In one short hour, they achieved a lot, and were clearly chuffed to bits!”
