Towan House

TOWAN HOUSE is lead by Mrs Henshall. She has been at Treviglas for the last 14 years. In that time she has been Head of Year and been involved in the transfer of students from their primary schools. Mrs Henshall grew up in Newquay and is proud to be Cornish. Towan House students wear red and black ties and our house colour is red. The majority of our forms register on the top corridor where students will find Mrs Henshall’s office and the house notice board. There are 11 Form tutors in Towan House and these Tutors should be the first point of call for parents who wish to enquire about their son/daughter. Towan House are proud to have adopted the Royal National Lifeboat Institution as their house charity. The RNLI provides 24-hour on call service to cover search and rescue requirements out to 100 nautical miles from the coast of the United Kingdom and a seasonal beach lifeguard service on appropriate beaches in the South West of England. The RNLI is independent from the Government and continues to rely on voluntary contributions for its income. Towan House aims to raise funds for the RNLI in college and for our students to assist the RNLI in fundraising events in the community. To date we have raised just under £1500. If any parent is interested in helping us fundraise, your support in college would be very welcome.
