Treviglas’ A-level Art and Photography students displayed their work in an exhibition at Trenance Gardens. From 16th – 18th March. Both AS and A2 students were able to show their favourite pieces in a professional gallery. Along with the final works, sketchbooks belonging to the students were also available to peruse, which many visitors did with great interest.
Visitors included family members and the public, teachers, and the students themselves. Many of the visitors commented on the excellent quality of the work in the gallery and the diverse range of technique shown.
The organiser of the event, Claire Mildenhall, teacher of art and photography at Treviglas, summarised by saying, ‘It’s fantastic to see the work our talented students in a professional gallery and supported by the local community.’
Lucy King, an A2 art student said, ‘It is amazing. I didn’t think my work would ever be in an exhibition. I’m proud of all of us!’
One visitor said he was ‘so proud seeing all the work of the students.’
