We are delighted to confirm that Year 12 students from Treviglas have raised over £1700 for charity. This is a fabulous amount and reflects the superb effort made by the students.
The last week of the autumn term is always a very special one for students and staff at Treviglas. Events included a bake sale, raffle and a teacher versus student quiz. Many of the students gave up their free time to ensure that the week was a huge success and will be rewarded by having the hours credited towards their Young Leaders in Service awards.
Our Rock Mime concert is always a highlight and every year we look forward to some extraordinary performances, both by established celebrities among students and staff and by new talents to emerge at this event. This year was no exception and the concert was exceptional and thoroughly enjoyed by all students, both those directly involved and those in the audience. We were delighted that many students, parents, grandparents, younger and older siblings and friends were able to join us for the evening performance of Rock Mime.
A particular mention must go to our year 12 Dream Team, who coordinated the week brilliantly and our thanks too to everyone who contributed to our Charity week. Ryan Bonner, Head Student at Treviglas, said, “Year 13 students would like to congratulate the Year 12 ‘Dream Team’. Charity Week was fantastic this year and a lot of money was raised. Well done to everyone involved!”
Josh Youngman, a Year 12 student and committed Dream Team member, added, “We would like to thank everyone for their contributions so far and we would be very grateful for any further donations, which can be made at the Main Reception or at the Post 16 Student Services office. £150 will go to each of our four House Charities: the Devon and Cornwall Air Ambulance; Shelterbox; the RNLI and Aid4Orphans.and £500 will go to each of the Sixth Form students’ chosen charities for this year: The Sunrise Appeal and the Sepsis Trust.
