As the end of their first term drew near a group of Year 7 students were recognised for excellence in transition from their primary school to Treviglas.
All the students completed transition projects in English and maths during the summer term of Year 6. A number of students were awarded prizes for the high standard of their work in these core subjects. In addition, further students were recognised for having made an excellent start to their KS3 studies in English and maths during their first term of Year 7.
Mrs. Emma Gilbert, transition co-ordinator at Treviglas, said, ‘We are delighted with the focus and commitment these students have shown to their English and maths studies since joining Treviglas. The schemes of learning build upon the excellent work carried out in partner primary schools during Year 6, and the transition projects help to ensure a seamless transition to secondary school.’
