Science

All students will follow the double science pathway. This will enable students to gain two GCSEs in science. This has the title of Trilogy in science and will generate two grades 9-1 at the end of year 11. Examinations will have Higher and Foundation tier papers. All examinations will be sat in June 2022 as the qualification follows a linear model. The exam papers will be a mixture of multiple choice, short and long answer questions. There is no longer a controlled assessment strand to these GCSEs, instead practical skills and understanding will be assessed throughout key stage 4.
