Dear Year 11 Parent/Carer,
As your child begins their final term of Year 11, I want to take this opportunity to say how proud we are of all they have achieved during their time with us—especially in this important year.
Some exams have already begun, and we have been incredibly impressed with how maturely and conscientiously students have approached them. I’m confident this positive attitude will continue throughout the exam season.
With time now at a premium, please continue to support and encourage your child’s revision at home. In school, teachers are delivering carefully planned lessons focused on key topics to maximise students’ success in the exams. Every lesson counts, and unless there is a serious illness or unavoidable issue, it is essential that students attend school each day. Study leave is no longer applicable; students will remain in school until their final exam—provided all coursework has also been completed.
To support students in these crucial final weeks, we’ve arranged additional Masterclasses in English and Maths each night afterschool. These are free sessions delivered by our own staff who know your child’s specific areas for improvement. Attending these sessions will directly benefit their results. Please see below for details - they start next week.
This is usually the part where I’d wish students “good luck”—but we all know that hard work and preparation are far more important than luck. Please help us ensure they are making the most of every opportunity available to them.
Many of our students will be returning to our fantastic Sixth Form in September. If your child is still undecided or has changed their mind, please get in touch with Mrs Handford, who will be happy to guide them through the wide range of exciting opportunities available at Treviglas Sixth Form.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind Regards
James Rogers
